Don’t say yes too quickly, take two seconds.

Say no to
crime in the port.

Scroll to information about signs of crime

Criminals use people like you.

In the port, everything revolves around cooperation. Everyone has their role. And when it gets busy, you help each other.

Criminals who smuggle drugs through our ports take advantage of that. Because without help from the inside, they can’t succeed. That’s why they target people like you.

They try to pressure or tempt people in the port, on the terminal, in the warehouse, or in the office to do something for them. One pass. One container. One small change. It seems harmless, but the consequences are huge. And those who say YES once, often can’t get out easily.

That’s why this campaign exists. So you learn to recognize the signs. And take two seconds to ask yourself: “Does this seem right?”

Do you recognize these signs?

Signs and recommendations for suspicious situations
Situation What could be going on? What can you do?
"Can I borrow your pass for a moment?" Criminals want access to secure zones. Never hand over your pass. Not even to colleagues.
"Can you deliver this container somewhere else?" Could be preparation for smuggling or sabotage. Always check with your supervisor if this is correct.
"Can you do something for me? I’ll pay you well." Possible attempt at recruitment or bribery. Refuse. Report it internally or anonymously.
"I forgot to make an appointment. Can you let me in?" Possibly someone trying to get in through you. Always check. Never let anyone through just like that.
"Can I make a change to this shipment?" Possible attempt at data manipulation. Ask why. Report it if it’s not correct.
"Can you arrange this outside the system for me?" Criminals often try to get things done through informal routes. Be alert. Saying yes once can already be too much.

What would you do?

You get a simple question. It seems innocent.

This makes the topic visible within your organization and helps you work together towards a safe working environment. Download the toolkit and get started.
